A Squeaky-Clean Holiday Wish List

Believe it or not, cleaning supplies rarely get a mention when it comes that holiday letter to Santa. We know, weird right?!

Okay, well, maybe it’s not that weird. But we stand by the fact that gifts can be fun and functional. That’s really the gift that keeps on giving in our books!

Here is a sprinkling of our favorite gift ideas this holiday season.

For the Kiddos and Littles

Magic Marker Coloring Books. Give your kids a creative outlet to explore without having to worry about them running off the page. Magic markers only show up on these specially designed pages, making them a lifesaver when it comes to clean up. No table or wall stains for Santa’s visit this year!

Basketball Hoop Laundry Basket. They shoot, they score! Attaching a small hoop to your child’s laundry basket or toy bin can be a great way to integrate fun into the clean up process. Putting dirty clothes away gets way more exciting when they get to dunk them through a hoop first!

Snazzy Kids Apron. Keep Mommy and Daddy’s little kitchen helper stylish while those holiday cookies are baking. Nothing says ‘official cookie tester’ like an apron. And the fact that it helps keep the littlest helper clean? Well, that’s just icing on the cake.

For the Almost-Teens and Full-Blown Adolescents

Unique Wall Storage. There are tons of stylish wall storage systems to choose from, including ones that have customizable graphics, LED lighting, and even mirror inserts! This is a great gift for the teen who is part of a team or sport, as it’ll help them organize their equipment and keep clutter off the floor.

Pegboard or Corkboard. The great thing about both of these boards are they’re completely customizable all year round – perfect for the indecisive teen in your life! They’re great for storing everything from jewelry, to art supplies, to photos and collages.

Makeup/Product Organizer. This is for all the parents who have ever walked into their teenager’s bathroom in horror (yes, we’ve been there too). These organizational units come in different sizes, layouts, and tons of different colors and prints to fit any style. And maybe, just maybe, they’ll help convince your teen to keep their items off the counters. We did only say maybe, though.

For the Parental Units

Apothecary Jars. We love a gift that’s stylish but also helps to keep things tidy! Apothecary jars can be used for storage in multiple areas such as the kitchen, laundry room, or bathroom. They also make a trendy addition to office organization.

Cordless Vacuum. Okay, we know that a vacuum is likely not the most exciting gift… but honestly, we still stand by it. Once the holiday cleanup begins, a handy little cordless vacuum can really steal the show! Lightweight, easy to maneuver, and elf approved every day of the year.

Clothes Steamer. This gift is chronically slept on but it has so many great uses! Obviously getting crinkles of your clothes is the first, but it’s also great for getting wrinkles out of household fabrics like curtains, slipcovered couches, fabric chairs, and pillows.

For Sweet and/or Sassy Grandparents

Display Shelving. For the grandparent that has collected everything over the years, shelving is a fantastic way to put it on show. It also keeps the important things out of boxes, out of reach from any visiting little ones, and off the floor. It’s the perfect way to dress up a home and maximize the amount of available space.

Photo Frames. If your grandparents are anything like ours, they have an incredible number of photos that are often kept in storage. Multi-photo frames are a great way to dress up a home and present those precious memories. You could also load photos onto a digital photo frame so that they get to see different photos each and every day.

Cleaning Gift Card. Sometimes, the best cleaning gift is the gift of not having to clean. Gift cards for a cleaning service are a great way to take the load off someone’s plate, especially during the busy holiday season. They’re also the perfect gift for those that have limited mobility or who may struggle with doing a big clean.
